I am a South African Mountain Biker and UCI pro mechanic who now calls Switzerland home. Wanting to share my home trails and amazing culinary hotspots with people who love Biking as much as I do. I started The Trail Guru network platform not just for biking experiences but also bespoke custom bike builds. Biking, wrenching, food and amazing bike experiences is what gets me excited in the daily life as an adventurer. My concept is escape Swiss winters between December and March and enjoy the African sun.

Growing up in the tourism industry I naturally  continued this path with my own adventures in my 20's as a Scuba instructor traveling South East Asia and the Pacific, during my off seasons I would always be back at a Bike shop wrenching and racing in South Africa. Eventually ending up in Switzerland in my 30's, I now call Bern home. Exploring the Swiss Alps on weekends and discovering all the hidden trail gems in the Valais region. I now work as a Bike Workshop manager in Bern and I am lucky enough to get out to South Africa for the South African Summers from December till March. This is also when we have the best conditions for real dusty adventures. Being a South African Tour Guide, I also have some good local knowledge where we can get the best culinary experiences off the bike.

Then there is also my custom build portfolio of bespoke and one of a kind bike builds. I do this in my free time here in Switzerland. This is where the UCI training really pays off! One of a kind bike builds are the best way to show your bike mechanic skills. Who does not love a custom build? 

And at the end of the day I really just love being out on my bike exploring unknown trails or racing events like the "Trans Madeira" in Portugal or spending a few days on the "Ligurian" coast riding all the legendary trails of Finale Ligure in Italy.
