Back in Switzerland

We arrived back home from our South African trip in mid March. From warm sunny days back to the crisp winterish air of the Alps, but its not long and we have those 25 degree days again and the biking season is starting to boom again.

Back to my fulltime job and straight to high season as a work shop manager. The first few weeks were hectic as I came back to start at a new firm right in the middle of our peak season in the bike industry here in Switzerland.

Now that the hecticness has settled, we can breath again and focus on the 2026/2027 planning.

Still figuring out how to market myself here in Switzerland as a foreigner is a challenge but we will prevail as South Africa as a bike destination speaks for itself.

I have partnered with Winelands Private transfers and they will be providing us with full trip support in South Africa from arrival to departure. (Big Relief) This was the biggest challenge to find a company that could cater for mountain bikers and be incorporated as part of The Trail Guru franchise. Plus they are based in Stellenbosch and know all the shortcuts to all the trailheads ;)

For now the planning starts on bookings and logistics for the first trip planned in January 2027.
